I always use google.com in my code samples as a way to show an example domain or URL. That’s because I wasn’t aware that there is a dedicated domain for use in samples which is'n available for registration.
Check out example.com, example.net or example.org and see for yourself.
These domain names are reserved for use in documentation and are not available for registration.
Now that I know, I will never use google.com as example URL again.
